Winter 2025 Round 5 Recap

For the season finale, we visited Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, located in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. The weather was perfect, and the track was in great shape. The event was a bit of a mixed bag, with some drivers having a great night, and others not so much. The real highlights of the night were the close racing! Each race had multiple lead changes, with clean and tight wheel to wheel action. Who knew you could go three-wide through turns... well, just about all of them?

Congratulations

Congratulations to Painless for his pair of wins! Special honors go to Rek for keeping things honest up at the front.

Congratulations to Painless for winning the season, and to MR2RAT for his 3rd place finish! The season trophies are available for the top three finishers; you can click on your name to receive your trophy.

I want to thank everyone for a great season! The racing was clean and respectful from the very start, and I think we all had a lot of fun. As the series organizer, chief steward, and fellow competitor (no conflict of interest there, no, none at all), I deeply appreciate the sportsmanship shown by all. I also want to thank Painless for his help with the photography, and the rest of you for bearing with me while I did a lot of phoning things in.

Up Next

The real racing season is here in full force, so it will be the fall before we can organize the next season's events. There's been suggestion of dusting off the '89 BMW M3 Sport Evos for the next season, and I think that would be a great idea. If you have any suggestions for the next season, please let me know.

Have a great summer everyone, and I look forward to seeing you all again in the fall!
