Winter 2022 Sprint Series Round 4 Supplemental Regulations
To be held in accordance with the DDRS Sprint Series Rules. This race is for the 1989 BMW M3 Sport Evo.
Date: Saturday, January 29, 2022. Room opens at 9:30PM. Drivers meeting at 9:55PM. 10 minute qualifying session begins at 10:00pm, with races following thereafter. All times are EST except where indicated.
Venue: Suzuka Circuit, Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan.
Race Length: Round 4 races will be 10 laps.
Entry: Drivers not already part of the series must send their race entry in the
form of a friend request to itc42
via PSN.
Race Director's Notes: This will be another one-day, three race event for the BMWs. Be aware there are no reserved paddock spaces for this event, so you're going to want to get there as early as possible. If you talk nice to the PRG Team Principle, MBURG, he may be able to rope off some space for you ahead of the event. Rumor has it his hauler had set-up camp in Japan barely before the ink had dried on the Round 3 Observer's Report.
We'll be sharing the track with another full slate of support races. It looks like the support series include a repeat of the Toyota SFR Junior series, the FR-S/BRZ/86 spec series, the Touring Car Masters, and some sort of Kei Car series I've not seen before. There may be more to be added; I'll keep you updated if it will have any impact on our scheduled track sessions.
Since there's only about 20 minutes between our races on the published schedule, drivers are encouraged to be mindful of avoiding contact and off-course excursions. You crew will be under enough pressure to get your car turned around in time as it is. If you add body work and suspension repairs to the mix, you may run the risk of not making it to the grid on time.
Schedule: Our track time schedule for the event looks like this:
- Qualifying: 7:45am
- Race 1: 2:30pm
- Race 2: 3:45pm
- Race 3: 4:30pm
Ballast: Drivers will be assigned ballast weights before qualifying, based on their standing in the championship. Your ballast weight must be set before you take the pavement for qualifying.
Drivers Meeting: There will be a brief drivers meeting prior to the start of qualifying. In it we will cover ballast weights, driving standards, and have time for questions and answers.
