Winter 2026 DDRS Spec C5 Cup Series - Round 8 Recap
From the Austrian Alps to Japan, the penultimate round of the season took us to Autopolis and the long course. Mother nature blessed us with beautiful sunny weather (once the sun actually came up!) for almost the entire event, with only a small "sprinkle" of rain right at the end of race two. At least from what I've been told, the locals call that level of rain a "sprinkle," whereas I'm left searching my thesaurus for a word that adequately describes it. Deluge? Downpour? Monsoon? Tsunami? It was wet.

Top honors this week again to Painless, a 100% clean sweep of the evening with pole position, three wins, and three fastest laps! And with his clean sweep, he put a lock on the championship, clinching the title with one round to go! Congratulations to Painless on a truly dominant season!

Round 9, the final round of the season is on April 4, 2026. Rek and itc42 are locked in a fierce battle for 2nd in the championship, while Edminus1, CaptainSlow420, and Hollywood are in a heated three-way battle for 4th. As always, the room will open at
