Supplemental Regulations
Race Length: Round 3 races will be 16 laps.
Schedule: The event promoters have thrown us a curve ball for this event: while we'll still get early practice, our qualifying is at a more civilized time (9:00am), and our first race falls in the noon hour once again. And then we'll have to sit and wait, while the support races run. We're back on the track late afternoon for races 2 and 3. The support races ought to be good this weekend! The promoters have scheduled a Mini Miglia Club race, followed by Spec MX5, Corvette Challenge, LeMans Historic Group C vintage cars, and Toyota Pro-Celeb (in the new Yaris, no less!). We've heard rumors that the likes of Sebastian Vettel, Sebastien Bordais, Sebastian Loeb, Sebastian Carazo will be running in the Pro class, while such luminaries as Sebastian Aho, Sebastion Stan, Sebastian Bach, and William Sanderson (J. F. Sebastian from the movie Blade Runner) will be there, but these are only rumors at this point. Sadly, the promoters don't include us on all of their email distribution lists, something we're trying to get changed.
Update 11/29/2020: We just found out that the event promoters have added another support race. We'll be welcoming back the Showroom Stock Masters to the weekend's schedule of events. Our veteran DDRS competitors will recall that the Showroom Stock Masters series is a spec series for the Pontiac Firebird. Rather than being a 'resto-mod' series (like Australia's Shannons Touring Car Masters series), this is a series for Firebirds in bone stock condition (although as DDRS regulars can attest, they're rarely in pristine condition at the ends of the races).
- Practice: 6:45am
- Qualifying: 9:00am
- Race 1: 12:00 noon
- Race 2: 4:00 pm
- Race 3: 5:00 pm
Ballast: Drivers will be assigned ballast weights before qualifying, based on their standing in the championship. Your ballast weight must be set before you take the pavement for qualifying.
Drivers Meeting: There will be a brief drivers meeting prior to the start of qualifying. In it we will cover ballast weights, driving standards, and have time for questions and answers.
